@Harald, thanks mate 🙂 As always, the moment you ask a question in public, you find the solution yourself. That means : I already found some 5x5mm ones in a local store. 😀
I wonder what exactly the VRs look like, as I am having trouble finding some withy that very pin layout.

If you look closely at the lower text-part of the layout there should be some info there on additional connections, of which some relate to the Bass pot.
where the contacts for the bass pot?
Verified, though it does seem to have a slight squeal when dimed, might tone down when boxed. sounds just like the rog clip 🙂
